Amber Benson is an American actress singer writer director and producer. She is most famous for her role as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also written the show, directed it and even starred in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she starred in Kiss the Bride. Benson born 8 January 1977 Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Danielle is her older sister, and she's an artist. Benson has a father who is Jewish while her mother is Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue.
